Nothing offered on this platform — including readings, circles, journals, meditations, worksheets, or practitioner listings — constitutes medical, psychological, psychiatric, or mental health advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the guidance of a qualified licensed professional with any questions you may have regarding a medical or mental health condition. If you are in crisis or believe you or someone else may be in danger, call your local emergency services or a crisis hotline immediately.

Assumption of Risk

Readings, circles, guided meditations, journal prompts, worksheets, and any other content or experience offered through Crozzroads are intended solely for personal reflection and growth. They are not therapy, counseling, or crisis support. You acknowledge that engagement with reflective, spiritual, or emotionally exploratory material may surface difficult thoughts, feelings, memories, or reactions, and you voluntarily assume all risk associated with your participation. You are solely responsible for your own emotional, psychological, physical, and spiritual well-being, and for seeking qualified professional support if and when you need it.

Data Privacy

We treat what you share here with care. Information you provide — account details, journal entries, reading intake forms, and circle participation — is stored securely and used only to deliver the services you've requested and to improve your experience on the platform. We do not sell your personal data. We do not share identifying information with practitioners, partners, or third parties without your explicit consent, except where required by law. You may request a copy of your data, correct it, or ask us to delete your account and associated records at any time by contacting us. We use industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest, but no system is perfectly secure, and you share at your own discretion.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information, including the right to access, correct, port, or delete your data; the right to withdraw consent; the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information; and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. These rights are recognized under laws such as the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), and similar state and national laws. Crozzroads uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, secure the platform, measure usage, and improve the experience. Some cookies are strictly necessary for the site to function; others are optional. Where required by law, we will ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies, and you can withdraw consent or change your settings at any time through your browser controls or any cookie preferences tool we provide.

Email & Messaging Consent

By creating an account, you consent to receive transactional emails related to your membership, security, bookings, and account activity. We may also send occasional updates, newsletters, or marketing messages, which you can opt out of at any time using the unsubscribe link in any such email or by visiting our unsubscribe page. If we ever offer SMS or text-message communications, those will require separate, explicit opt-in, and message and data rates may apply.

Terms of Use

By creating an account or using Crozzroads, you agree to use the platform lawfully, respectfully, and for your own personal, non-commercial reflection and growth. You agree not to harass other members or practitioners, impersonate others, scrape or republish content, or use the platform to solicit, market, or distribute services without permission. Membership fees are billed as described at sign-up; you may cancel at any time, and cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Content on Crozzroads — writing, audio, design, and curated directories — is owned by Crozzroads or its contributors and may not be reproduced without written permission. We may update these terms, suspend accounts that violate them, or change features and pricing with reasonable notice.

Practitioner Directory

Practitioners listed on Crozzroads are independent professionals, not employees or agents of Crozzroads. We do not verify credentials, licensure, insurance, or outcomes, and inclusion in the directory is not an endorsement. Any engagement, payment, or relationship you enter into with a practitioner is solely between you and that practitioner. We encourage you to do your own due diligence before working with anyone you find here.

Practitioners who apply to be listed agree to a separate Practitioner Agreement covering, at minimum: their status as independent contractors and not employees, agents, partners, or joint venturers of Crozzroads; their sole responsibility for their own licensure, credentials, insurance, taxes, and compliance with applicable law; conduct and professionalism standards; a limited license to Crozzroads to display their listing content; and Crozzroads' right to remove listings at its discretion.

User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of the content you create on Crozzroads — including journal entries, circle contributions, intake responses, and any other material you submit ("Your Content"). By submitting Your Content, you grant Crozzroads a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, display, and process Your Content solely as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the platform and deliver the services you've requested. Anonymized or aggregated insights derived from platform activity may be used to improve Crozzroads. You represent that Your Content is yours to share and does not infringe the rights of any third party. When you delete your account, we will delete or de-identify Your Content within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law, necessary to resolve disputes, or maintained in routine backups.

Payments, Refunds & Cancellations

Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor (currently Stripe). Crozzroads does not store full payment card details on its own servers. By providing payment information, you authorize us and our processor to charge the applicable fees, taxes, and recurring membership amounts. Memberships renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time after the first three months. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, membership fees are non-refundable. Individual readings and sessions are subject to the cancellation, rescheduling, and refund policy disclosed at booking; no-shows and late cancellations may be non-refundable. If a practitioner cancels, you may reschedule or request a refund of fees paid for that session. Chargebacks or payment disputes filed without first contacting us may result in suspension of your account.

Intellectual Property & Copyright (DMCA)

"Crozzroads" and the Crozzroads name, logo, and content are trademarks and copyrighted works of Crozzroads or its licensors. If you believe content on the platform infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to the contact email below including: (1) your physical or electronic signature; (2) identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed; (3) identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and its location; (4) your contact information; (5) a statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material is not authorized; and (6) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the rights holder. We may remove allegedly infringing material and terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The platform and all content, services, readings, circles, meditations, worksheets, listings, and other materials are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Crozzroads disclaims all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, reliability, uninterrupted or error-free operation, and any warranties arising out of course of dealing or usage of trade. Crozzroads makes no warranty regarding the conduct, qualifications, or outcomes of any practitioner, member, or third party.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Crozzroads, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, contractors, or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the platform, any content, any practitioner engagement, or these terms, whether based in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or any other legal theory, and whether or not Crozzroads has been advised of the possibility of such damages. In no event shall Crozzroads' total cumulative liability arising out of or relating to these terms or the platform exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid to Crozzroads in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100). Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages; in those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Crozzroads and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your access to or use of the platform; (b) Your Content; (c) your violation of these terms; (d) your violation of any law or the rights of any third party; or (e) any dispute between you and a practitioner, another member, or any third party you interact with through the platform. Crozzroads reserves the right, at its own expense, to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you, in which case you agree to cooperate with our defense.

Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These terms and any dispute arising out of or related to them or to your use of Crozzroads are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. You and Crozzroads agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these terms or the platform shall first be addressed by good-faith informal negotiation. If the dispute is not resolved within thirty (30) days, the dispute shall be resolved exclusively by final and binding individual arbitration administered by a recognized arbitration provider under its then-current rules, seated in New York County, New York, with judgment on the award entered in any court of competent jurisdiction. You and Crozzroads each waive any right to a jury trial and agree that disputes will be brought only in your individual capacity, not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, or representative proceeding. If the class-action waiver is found unenforceable as to a particular claim, that claim shall be severed and proceed in court, while all other claims continue in arbitration. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive or equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property or confidential information.

Termination

You may close your account at any time. Crozzroads may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, for any violation of these terms, for conduct that we reasonably believe is harmful to other users, practitioners, or the platform, or for any other reason permitted by law. If we discover or reasonably believe you are under the age of 18, we may terminate your account immediately. Sections of these terms that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, user content license, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution — will survive.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide reasonable notice (for example, by email or an in-platform notice). Your continued use of Crozzroads after the effective date of any update constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree to the updated terms, you must stop using the platform and may close your account.

Severability & Entire Agreement

If any provision of these terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right or provision. These terms, together with any policies referenced here or presented at sign-up or booking, constitute the entire agreement between you and Crozzroads regarding the platform and supersede any prior agreements on the same subject.

Crozzroads is intended for users aged 18 and up. We are committed to making the platform accessible and welcoming to people of all backgrounds, abilities, and identities. If you encounter a barrier to access or have a suggestion for how we can do better, please let us know.
